White Feather

White Feather HCIn my drawer sits a white feather,

full of broken promises,

misplaced love,

and cowardice.

It’s not heavy, though,

I once thought it to be.

But that was my burden,

one that made a stronger back,

no longer weary bones.

And if I met you again,

this feather would be my only gift.

“And if I met you again,

this feather would be my only gift”

Like the feather, full of broken promises.
I enjoy this on so many levels. Please include this imagery in your next story.
